Planning has Begun
Work and snow continue into the new year!
Work continues on the second story with the installation of the sub-flooring.
The crew places beams that will bear the floor for the second story, while the community pitches in for more snow removal.
First floor walls are framed and the community practices old-fashioned manual snow removal.
Wishing safety and harmony for all involved with building Chenrezig Hall, the community blesses the building site before foundation preparation begins.
Contractor George Weaver walks the building site with Ven. Tarpa and the trucks arrive to take soil samples to help the engineers design the geothermal unit for Chenrezig Hall. One step closer to construction!!

We hired contractor George Weaver of Alpha & Omega Construction, prepared the constructions drawings, applied for the permits, and blessed the land. Now we're ready to build!

Although we began to use the relocated Meditation Hall in January, snowy and wet roads prevented us from reinstalling the altar. With the help of many volunteers from our annual Young Adult Week program, the altar is now complete.
The crew gently walks the altar to the truck. |

They load it into the hall. |

Then they replace the kangyur and tengyer texts. |

Ven. Yeshe puts the finishing touches on the kangyur. |

The continuing growth in demand for retreats and courses and the growth of the Abbey community have signaled the time for new construction. Plans for Chenrezig Hall are being developed now! We are happy to, once again, work with Tim Wilson, architect for Gotami House.
